October 2, 2014 – Sarasota, FL – A groundbreaking ceremony was held at 7125 Jarvis Road, the site of the newest Habitat Sarasota home. Funding for the new home construction is provided by the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, L-3 Communications Inc. and proceeds from Fore the Love of Habitat, a golf tournament at Laurel Oak Country Club that raised more than $40,000 in April 2014 to benefit Habitat Sarasota.

“We are very pleased to announce the ground breaking for Habitat Sarasota’s 203rd house,” said Habitat Sarasota Executive Director Renee Snyder. “To have such a diverse group of donors for this home is a reflection of the community support for Habitat. Habitat Sarasota is fortunate to have these resources to ensure a forever affordable home for a deserving working family.”
