The Campaign For Hammock Place

Hammock Place is the first neighborhood of its kind in Sarasota. It is a deed-restricted community of single-family homes that will serve 40 families.

Habitat Sarasota began developing Hammock Place in response to the growing need for affordable housing in our community. The curved streets, gated entry, and architectural design of this 40-home neighborhood makes it a desirable place to live while addressing the need for affordable housing in Sarasota. The neighborhood is deed restricted, includes lawn maintenance, and the homes will be built using cutting edge construction methods that exceed green building standards.

The homes in Hammock Place are approximately 1,500 square feet under air and feature three bedrooms; two bathrooms; attached two-car garage; all major appliances; window blinds; and lawn maintenance. Built with insulated concrete form (ICF) construction, the homes are Category 5 storm rated and energy efficient. Each home exceeds green building standards.

Special thanks to the Kolter Group, through a partnership with the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, for committing $3 million toward The Campaign for Hammock Place.
