Income Guidelines

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sets income limits that determine eligibility for Habitat for Humanity affiliates. HUD develops income limits based on Median Family Income estimates and Fair Market Rent area definitions for each metropolitan area, parts of some metropolitan areas, and each non-metropolitan county. These limits are based on HUD estimates of median family income, with adjustments based on family size.

Habitat for Humanity Sarasota offers an affordable Homeownership Program for households earning up to 80% area median income. Additionally, homebuyers earning up to 100% area media income may be eligible to purchase a home in Hammock Place by securing financing through a third-party lender. See tables below for maximum household income limits for the Sarasota, Florida area.
