- Attend a Homeowner Orientation session to answer the many questions you probably have. Attending an orientation is part of the application process. Orientations are held at local libraries in Sarasota. There is NO FEE to attend, but please do arrange for childcare during this time.
- Submit your application. (Once submitted, the review process may take two to three months.)
- Your form will be reviewed and someone from our staff will contact you to let you know if you meet the criteria for our program.
- A home visit and interview are part of the selection process.
Step 3
Once You’re Approved
Sweat equity begins. You work on building other families’ homes or in our ReStore, before starting your own home.
You must complete a series of homeownership classes and submit a deposit. Your deposit is applied towards closing costs, taxes, and insurance.
