In April 2018, Erika and her 3 boys have moved into their new home. Erika is grateful for the support from the employees at FCCI Insurance Group for volunteering 220+ hours on the construction of her home.

Today the boys and I stood upon the foundation of our Habitat for Humanity Sarasota home that is being built. We were surrounded by the people who have helped us, loved us, and cared for us in the darkest of times along with many others who have joined our journey to continue it forward!
My boys were each able to stand in their soon-to-be bedrooms and beneath the front door, they laid their dreams, my dreams and the love, blessings and kind word of others that will forever be the promises of God’s love and faithfulness. These amazing testaments are forever in the concrete of our front porch.
Four years ago to the very day my life changed forever when I wrote down a list of dreams and goals I asked God to help me accomplish. As time went on, life tore me down again and again, and I lost my faith and walked away from a relationship with God.
Then, over the past year, he has so gently and tenderly begun to soften my heart and remind me of his great love for me and his faithfulness that kept him by my side even when I would not acknowledge him.
On that list I wrote so long ago was the dream of owning my own home. A home where the boys and I could create a family all our own and make memories to last a lifetime. As I stood on our property this morning surrounded by miracles, God once again reminded me that he never let my dreams go and he never stopped helping me make them a reality.
