One Home Dedication. Three Families.

A special set of circumstances led to three adjacent properties finishing construction at the same time while three families, now neighbors, all celebrate new beginnings in their Habitat Sarasota home. It was the perfect opportunity for three families to share a special home dedication with a large group of Habitat Sarasota volunteers, donors, business partners and community leaders.

Rachel and Austin
For years, Rachel and Austin have struggled tor raise their two young children in poor living conditions. Their dilapidated, cramped rental home in Sarasota did not even have potable water. Thanks to their new home that is affordable through Habitat Sarasota, Austin and Rachel now have a decent home to raise their children in.

Our Habitat home means we can brush our teeth with water straight out of the faucet and our kids can fill up a glass of water straight from the sink.

Janeshia
Not being able to afford a place to live in Sarasota, Janeshia had to commute from Ruskin to Sarasota for her job and to keep her children enrolled at the same school. Her Habitat Sarasota home reduces her transportation expenses and gives her more time with her children.
